Yikes. I think I've mentioned before that I would gladly have my pinky finger amputated in exchange for the right never to throw up again in my life. See, I've thought this out: maybe not any other finger, but definitely my pinky.

In my worst bouts of that kind of illness, I've never ended up in the hospital, even when I can't keep anything down; but my worst bouts have tended to last no more than 12-18 hours.
