I'm sort of iffy on Hobb -- I like some parts of her stuff a lot (pirate ships! the Fool! assassins!), but then she pulls things like the ending to the Fool trilogy, and I liked her Wizard of Pigeons as Lindholm, but she did the weird ending again. So... we'll see.
