I was very much taken by the Hiro-Kensei dynamic, too: though I was amused that they reused the "Cynical Brit punches out idealistic dork" moment from the Claude-Peter scene in Distractions.

After reading the latest graphic novel, I think that (unfortunately) West isn't meant to be creepy. I just hope he grows on me over the next few eps, because I found him mildly annoying in the premiere.
