Romeo x Juliet, ep. 03-06
The plot thickens!
I was complaining a little to myself on how boring Juliet gets when she reverts to female dress, which makes me sad. But then, tragedy occurs! And it is clear that it was all setup for Juliet to become an avenger of the people, as spurred by a tragic death. Also, this way, it is even more tragic because she is actually giving something up (Romeo, life as a normal person) in order to take on her new role as the head of the Capulets. In conclusion, there is much tragedy.
Also, while Juliet angsts and angsts, Romeo is largely sunny and cute, except when confronted by his dad's suckiness. He is so the dainty, unworldly princess who gets a crash-course in civic ethics when he discovers true love. Except, you know, he is the dainty, unworldly prince.
I was also completely amused by the "Romeo accidentally sees Juliet in her underwear!" plot, particularly as it accompanied stripping because they were soaking wet.
But mostly I was actually a little bored by the romance angst until the doctor guy dressed up as the Red Whirlwind and got himself killed. And Juliet is now traumatized and also now dedicated to the cause, and I am very happy.
