I think so too.. witness the large lambasting of romance. Although I think I read a post some time ago arguing that it can be important to not fade to black because sometimes showing the dynamics of the sex can be pretty illustrative of a certain character's personality, etc.

Oh I would agree with that too... just that good examples of it for me are pretty thin on the ground.

Does Faunboy show echoes of this? I loved Narnia, but for some reason never latched onto it as hard... I think it was because I only had the first four books and read the others later on, and my favorites are the Horse one and The Magician's Nephew.

Definitely, at least from the sketcher's perspective :smile;, and a few other things too, that link into the history of the Green Man. I read him pretty young so maybe that did have something to do... the people I read back then Tolkien, Lloyd Alexander, Susan Cooper, Alan Garner etc, they all had a great impact on me.
