Veronica Mars 2x16-2x17

2x16 The Rapes of Graff

I am totally amused by Veronica's many put-downs of Troy! And oh, I'm glad there's an episode that sort of takes another look at "A Trip to the Dentist."

Also, they're really setting up next year, aren't they? Veronica and Wallace at Hurst, what with Veronica already having a bad reputation among some of the people there, thanks to the bust of the frat boys.

And... Madison and Lamb! Ewww! Although I absolutely adored Keith and Cliff tag-teaming and making Lamb's new campaign posters. I also continue to love Cliff. Poor guy. Hanging around ob-gyns to try and get business, and ending up handcuffed to a bed. Though it does seem now that so much stuff going on this season has to do with corruption on a city-wide level, much more so than the first season.

On one hand, I really like that, because it looks at how Neptune works as a town and how the social strata at school is set up on a much, much larger level. On the other hand, it means so far, there's been somewhat less focus on the non-power-players, though there still has been some. I wonder if they'll continue the class thing into college. It seems somewhat set up for it, given the frat boys vs. the two women who were raped.

I was afraid this episode would be too painful to watch, given the rapes and the fact that I cringed the entire way through "A Trip to the Dentist." But it turned out ok, largely because they didn't go as into the social pressures and everything that they did in the previous episode. However, I still hate the frat boys with a burning hate.

Oh, yeah, Hannah. Uh, I liked her, but well... just like Veronica is apparently rich-boy doom, Logan is blonde-girl doom.

I say this every time, but... I love Keith!

2x17 Plan B

OMG Weevil! What did you do?!

And Wallace! I continue to adore you to tiny bits, even when you cheat on your girlfriend, which really says something because normally if anyone else did that, I would be fuming.

Even though I usually don't like Logan, I liked the scene at the dance with Veronica, and I loved watching him nearly bite Gia's head off.

Though the mystery thickens! What is Woody doing with everything? What does the DVD reveal that's so threatening that he wanted it destroyed?

I'm even starting to like Jackie, particularly for her own brand of integrity. Granted, it's not one that makes Wallace happy, but I like that she is sticking to it.

And Wallace! I hug you! For some reason, I was ok with him kissing Jackie, even though I usually want to hit anyone cheating on their girlfriend. It's just that... he didn't try to make excuses, and he knew it was wrong, and he apologized, and that was about all he could do. And when Jane tried to blame the entire thing on Jackie, Wallace stood up for her and let her know, albeit as gently as possible. But he still told the truth, even when it made things more difficult for him.

However, I hit Cassidy for hurting Mac, because she's Mac and I love her.

But... the big thing... Weevil!!! OMG!!!! Thumper was in the stadium when it blew up, right? I wonder if Weevil knew that would happen? I figure he knew something horrible would happen, given what he knew of the Fitzpatricks, but he might not have known the specifics of the stadium. That last shot of him at the confessional was great, as was his confrontation with Molly.

And the shot of the truck right after Molly's argument with her family, gah.

But ohhhh, things are so not going to go well for Weevil now.

Eeeeee, so excited!
