At Loscon and Worldcon in Boston, I noticed a "PoC nod" going around, as we were all counting each other, and having a sense of "I am not alone!". I don't think it's a lonely thing to be a Fan anymore, but being a Fan of Color is still more of an oddity/rarity than it should be.
