I don't know! I think it's going to be more popular later, if current
trends keep going... the big thing in historical romances was Regency, but
there's been a substantial amount of Victorians in the past few years, and
some have been venturing more into late Victorian instead of staying around
the 1850s. I wonder if people thought the addition of stuff like cars and
telegraph and whatnot made it too modern and therefore less escapist?
