I am still hoping against hope that they're just going to change the entire Tyrion-Shae plotline so that she just decides she has HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH WESTEROS AS A WHOLE and blows this popsicle stand for good and all. Then Tyrion's book-long whinge about "where do whores go?" can be his search for Shae, and the thing is, in terms of the plot as a whole, it would be EXACTLY THE SAME, with 100% less gratuitous violence against women!

Except of course that means it would have 100% less gratuitous violence against women so clearly HBO will never do it that way.
